easter 2010

this was my first easter in 8 years that i didn't have to leave for church/work before seeing my family! i was so excited to actually be there for toby waking up to see what the easter bunny had left him.

he followed the trail of easter eggs down the stairs to our baskets.......
looks like daddy broke into his chocolate bunny a little early!.........

then, i had prepared a funny face pancake, almost just like ihop (you need whipped cream for the nose, apparently). t was very excited!!

after the usual morning stuff, we went to a beatiful service out on the lawn at our church.

(insert beautiful family picture at church here :( hmmm)

then headed over to grandma and pappy's house for lunch and egg hunting.

i am very frustrated with myself that we didn't get a picture of my beautiful boys and me at church that morning- when my hair was still curled, and all 3 of them had on their purple striped dress shirts.....maybe a restaging will have to take place some other sunday.......

ccc luau extravaganza!

our first fundraiser was a big success! it took a lot of planning and hard work, but was enjoyed by all, helped build a community spirit between our families, and put some seed money toward next season and our summer camp.

these were my attempt to take pictures down on his level- like uncle pete does soooo well. mine, not so great- but he's still so pretty and sweet to look at, right?

toby the chef

toby decided to be a chef. so he put on 2 white shirts- cause chef wear white coats, but he doesn't have a white coat, so 2 white shirts were his substitute. and donned a lovely white paper bag as his chef hat, then proceeded to make a large batch of fruit salad. as you see, my hair is wet. he did all the dressing and fruit salad making while i was in the shower. then i came down, snapped a few pics, and helped him cut some cucumbers too- he wanted to know how chefs cut so fast. so i showed him the curled finger technique.
