a little waterlogged

we love the krisons!

they taught toby's kindergarten class at church. he loved them. they truly have a heart for the kids they work with- it shows in every way. they loved toby and embraced his sometimes over-the-top energy, which gave him the freedom to be the awesome kid he is! thank you krisons!!

they sang a few songs, and they each got to say what they want to be when they grow up. toby's response? tree surgeon. we've never ever ever heard him say this before.

fireman, yep. policeman, yep. lego engineer, constantly. tree surgeon, never. funny. great smile on this kid, eh? we loved his teacher, mrs. lyle.

hunter totally photobombs us, and miller was a little sleepy.

i'm doing some serious catch up on this blog- haven't written since april!!! aaaaack! so i'm combining just a few shots of our goings on from may. the last post, frozen bananas, was in the beginning of may, and here's some more:

we had a lovely breakfast for mother's day, the kids went to church with nana. then we spent the rest of the day together.

miller fell in love with a green ball. he followed it around and held it all he could. until it deflated.

toby went to a fun birthday party. i didn't realize there would be water play, but i'm not one to care about wet clothes, it's just water. so he had fun anyway.

we had frozen bananas!

and miller got very, very messy!!

ups and downs

so, today was "one of those days". full of extreme highs and lows. here's the timeline:

toby wakes up early, gets dressed, makes bed, cleans room, and unloads clean dishes from dishwasher- all before breakfast!!! major high!

have a meeting with aimee- bad news- major low, followed by productive meeting- another high.

get email from toby's teacher about a behavior incident- spitting juice at lunch- major, not to mention embarrasing, low!

miller takes great, long nap- and i sneak in a tiny one- high!

pick up toby from school- have to be a mean mommy and discuss the behavior problem- low.

get to toby's dentist appointment right on time- high. he does wonderfully well- high, while getting his first cap on a cavity (because it's a baby tooth, no filling)- cavity? low.

head to sonic for dinner and a vanilla diet coke for me- high!

go to phoenix art museum for the donation only admission night- high! toby keeps saying he's tired- low, then tells me all about abstract art- high.

exit museum to a gorgeous, stormy looking sky- high!

toby vomits shortly after pulling out of the parking space- low.

matthew and i clean up awesomely fast and well- high out of low.

toby's energy and personality that was missing at the museum immediately return- high! he's soooo funny!

matthew gets a phone call on the way home about one of his buyers losing out on a house offer- low.

get home, baths, homework, etc- always a roller coaster!

toby straight to bed, miller night nurse session- double high!

start obsessing about the incident report i'm supposed to sign- low.

bestie talks me down from my obsessing- neutral.

chilling out in front of dvr shows- high!

hoping/praying for a better and more even day tomorrow!!!!!
